I Started Training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
I’ve been talking about it for over 2 years.  I’ve wanted to start training for a long time and felt that with my insane travel schedule, I would never get time to commit.  Since I was assigned to a 2 month project where I could work from Dallas, I decided to take the leap.  After a solid month of training, I can honestly say that I love it so far.  It’s still very early in the...

Can Bonuses Force Finishes in MMA? →
This is a great article from Lee Whitehead at MMAWeekly.com about paying bonuses to fighters who finish an opponent in an MMA bout.  I’m a huge fan of MMA and I’ve said this before so it’s nice to have other folks say it too.  Some people think MMA is boring because they just lay on each other and let the fight go to a judges decision.  Maybe if the fighters got paid more to...

I'm Hooked on Juicing
For about 3 months I’ve discovered the joys of juicing fruits and vegetables.  I’ve always heard of these mysterious contraptions but just recently became educated enough about them to purchase a juicer and start exploring. I’ve found a few recipes on the web and have created some of my own.  I’ve noticed that it is common for me to juice fruits and veggies as a complete...

Move Over Wayne Newton, Make Room For Lil Wayne
Lil Wayne was quoted saying that he never plans to stop touring and one day hopes to take residence in Las Vegas. “I actually plan on being one of those artists, with all the music and all the work I’m putting out, I believe that later on down the line, I can do Vegas. I can be the first hip-hop artist to do Vegas every night. That’s the plan.”  Can you imagine?...

Post-Game Mavs Fun
There has been a flood of post-game Mavs content floating around.  Some interesting, some funny, and some not.   The Mavs party in Miami and order 100 bottles of champagne. http://youtu.be/nxct8h54J4U Mark Cuban dances on stage with the trophy   http://youtu.be/DsUxZdRRb6Y  My close friend, David Wedemeir and his wife, were in Wurzburg, Germany (Dirk’s hometown) for the game.  They took...

Bamboo Sheets FTW
I’ve never been one to spend lots of money on bedding.   Yes, I like my bed to be clean and cozy but I had never spent the money for a set of soft sheets.  I’ve heard of people spending hundreds on sheets and I always thought that was just stupid.   Recently, I had to start looking for some new sheets and decided to take the plunge with a “nice” set of sheets.  I asked a...

Recommend: Deli-News, New York-Style Restaurant
One of my favorite breakfast dishes is Corned Beef Hash.  I frequently find myself ordering this dish at my local breakfast joints and usually aren’t very pleased.  Today I woke up with a mission to find a good version of this dish and stumbled upon Deli-News.  I would greatly recommend it for breakfast.  It is tiny but has the small diner feel to it to accompany the good food....
