Can Bonuses Force Finishes in MMA?

This is a great article from Lee Whitehead at MMAWeekly.com about paying bonuses to fighters who finish an opponent in an MMA bout.  I’m a huge fan of MMA and I’ve said this before so it’s nice to have other folks say it too.  Some people think MMA is boring because they just lay on each other and let the fight go to a judges decision.  Maybe if the fighters got paid more to finish fights, they would risk it more?  Most MMA fighters don’t get paid very much per fight ($6k to $25k) and a bonus to these guys would mean a ton.  Probably enough for them to stick their neck out there more which would make for a more exciting fight.
